Printable QR box labels

Box'd QR labels help you scan boxes and use Flashlight Search. They fit standard Avery sheets, they're not tied to an account, and you can print more from the app when you need them.

iPhone only for now. Android version coming soon.

Box numbers work fine

Write a number on the box and keep packing. You still get voice, search, and photos.

QR labels unlock Flashlight Search

Point your phone at the room and the right labelled box lights up on your screen.

Label sheet size

Box'd labels fit Avery L7165/J8165-style sheets: 99.1 x 67.7 mm, 8 labels per A4 page. Product codes vary by country, so check the size and layout before you buy.

Plain paper option

You can also print on plain paper, cut the codes out, and stick them on with clear packing tape.

When QR labels help

Use labels when you want Flashlight Search. Point your phone at the room and the right box lights up.

Print more anytime

Print from the app whenever you need more. You'll get a new set each time. Bulk printing is on the list; for now it's one print at a time.

Printable QR label setup guide

If you want peel-and-stick, this Avery pack on Amazon should work. Labels aren't attached to an account, so you can print a stack and scan them into any account when you're ready.

Avery or plain paper

Our labels fit Avery L7165/J8165-style sheets: 99.1 x 67.7 mm, 8 labels per A4 page. Product codes vary by country, so check the size and layout before you buy. Or print on plain paper, cut them up, and stick them on with clear packing tape.

Scan when you're ready

Labels aren't linked to an account until you scan them. Print a stack at home, take them to the job or the unit, then stick them on and scan them into your (or your client's) account when you're ready.

Print more anytime

Every time you print labels from the app, you get a new set. We're working on bulk printing; for now it's one print at a time.

Unlock Flashlight Search

Flashlight Search only works with our QR labels. Point your phone at the room and the right box lights up. If you use numbers instead, you still get voice, search, and photos. You just won't get the scan-to-find bit.

QR label FAQ

Printing, sheets, QR codes, and what Flashlight Search needs.

Can I use Box'd without QR labels?
Yes. Box numbers work for voice lists, photos, and search. QR labels unlock Flashlight Search, where the camera helps find the exact box in a room.
What paper or labels do I need?
Our PDF fits Avery J8165 and similar 8-up sheets. Buy them anywhere office supplies are sold, or print on plain paper, cut carefully, and cover with clear packing tape.
Are labels tied to my account before I scan them?
No. Print a stack, take it to a move or a client's place, then scan each label when you're ready. It joins whichever account is open when you scan.
Why does Flashlight Search need these QR labels?
The app matches what you typed to a specific printed code on the box. Handwritten numbers still work for lists and search, but the camera needs a QR to light up the right box.
Can I just write numbers instead of printing?
Yes. Enter the number in the app and pack as usual. You keep voice lists, search, and photos. You skip Flashlight Search until you add printed codes.
How do I print more labels from the app?
Print whenever you need a fresh sheet from Box'd. Each run gives you a new set. Bulk printing for huge jobs is on the way; for now it's one print at a time.
Will tape and ink hold up in a hot garage?
Use a smudge-resistant print setting if you can, and seal paper labels under clear tape. Stickers rated for indoor storage usually hold fine; if a code peels, print a replacement and scan it to the same box.
How do I cancel my subscription?
No stress. Manage your subscription in Apple ID settings: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. You can cancel or change your plan anytime.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Box'd is iOS-only for now, but Android is on the way. Email us if you want a heads-up when it ships.
Who can see my data?
Only you and people you invite through Partner Share. We don't sell your data, and we don't browse your boxes. Support only looks at your account if you ask us to fix something.
Is it free?
Your first 5 boxes are free, no account needed. After that, you can subscribe for unlimited boxes. That keeps the app running (servers, design, coffee).
Where can I read about moving or storage workflows?
I have more questions. How do I get help?
Email support@getboxd.app. We're a small team (okay, it's mostly just me), but I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
